ACTIVITIES AT THE RESORT

For your enjoyment, Costa Maya Reef Resort provides complementary use of kayaks and bicycles; you can also play volleyball, soccer, bocce ball or throw horseshoes. Enough sun? What about a game of darts, pool or ping pong in the foyer or a board game?

We offer introductory lessons on kayaking and by joining our scheduled guided trip to Mexico Rocks, you can discover the variety of marine life minutes from the resort. Our nature walk will provide you with an opportunity to watch birds and learn about the Isla Bonita. And what about a bike ride on the beach?

Let us know your interests by signing our activity register and we will set a tentative daily activity schedule based on your interests. We also look forward for suggestions on activities that will enhance your stay at Costa Maya. Check with the Activities Coordinator for activity changes and new activities.

Join in the Welcome Party held on Sunday's at 10:00 a.m.!  It is a great way to meet other guests, while enjoying Coffee and refreshments, and find out what’s happening at the Resort.

Scuba Diving at Costa Maya Reef Resort

The Belize Academy of Diving is based 6.5 miles north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye on the dock of the Costa Maya Reef Resort. Since you are staying at Costa Maya, just walk down the dock to organize your diving or snorkeling activities.

Belize Academy of Diving services include:

  • Diving and snorkeling trips to the local reef

  • Day trips to the offshore atolls, including the famous Blue Hole

  • Full range of PADI courses from Discover Scuba to Assistant Instructor

  • Purpose built dive boats equipped with radio, life jackets, comprehensive first-aid kit and oxygen
